Next Mountain Development

We build software for people who won't be talked out of the idea.

Next Mountain Development is the development arm of Next Mountain Ventures — a company whose whole reason for existing is to empower entrepreneurs through community and education. This is the part where we actually build the thing with you.

Why "Next Mountain"

The name comes from Sir Edmund Hillary, who — after becoming the first to summit Everest — was already talking about planning his next climb. That's the idea behind our whole business: reaching one goal is just the vantage point for planning the next one.

Most founders we meet have been quoted a fortune by someone who has no real stake in whether the project succeeds. We'd rather be the partner who's done it before, tells you honestly what to expect, and carries some of the load.

We keep the team small on purpose. You talk to the people writing the code, the price stays sane, and the craft stays high. When a build touches patient data, it goes through our sister company HipaaSoft instead — same crew, stricter rules.

What we hold to

What we hold to.

01

Partners, not vendors

We tell you what we'd do with your money if it were ours — including when that's 'not yet'.

02

You own everything

Code, repositories, cloud accounts. Handed over, documented, no hostage-taking.

03

Small team

You talk to the people writing the code. No layer of translation, no juniors learning on your budget.

04

Staged, always

Fixed price per stage and a real deliverable at each one. You can stop and still have something.
